The Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) opened in 2008 and is an independent not for profit organization located on the Camosun College Interurban campus. The Institute brings together excellence in  active healthy living development, sport and exercise education, sport technology research, and world-class athlete training services. PISE, in collaboration with the Canadian Sport Institute and Camosun College, serves the community, students, high performance athletes and coaches from across the region, province and country to provide world class training, education, testing, and applied research and innovation services together within a state of the art facility.

PISE is a recognized leader in active healthy living development through the delivery of high quality programs and education to the community based on the principles of Sport for Life (CS4L), including an emphasis on Physical Literacy for Youth and Active for Life for all adults.

Important Dates

Saturday, May 2, 2015 – Island Savings Family Sport & Recreation Festival

Fun for the whole family! 11am – 3pm. This FREE event is your pre-summer destination for introducing kids to new opportunities at the club and community level, and for parents to learn more about keeping their kids engaged in healthy activities.

Brought to you by the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame and PISE, the festival features more than 30 activities for kids and families to try out including Adrenaline Zipline (by donation), outdoor rock climbing, tennis, rugby, adapted sports, and so much more! There is no cost for organizations to participate, or for families to attend!

The primary purpose is to inspire families to be more active, and to encourage youngsters to be more physically literate by getting involved in sports and recreational activities. Donations made to ride the Adrenaline Zipline will help raise funds for the SportStart Grant. Please email Jackie Connelly at for questions or more information.
