Our Adapted Programs & Services team is highly skilled in adapting exercises and workout routines to the specific needs of clients. PISE strives to be inclusive in our programs, so if there is a program that you are interested in other than our specific Adapted Programs, but have some specific needs in order to participate, please contact PISE’s Adapted Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Jonathan Ritchot, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ADAPTED STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
The Victoria Wheelchair Sports Club and PISE are proud to offer a Strength and Conditioning program designed specifically for people with mobility limitations. This program will take place in PISE’s main Fitness Centre and focus on mobility, functionality and stability, while taking into account your sport and/or fitness needs.
This program takes place three times a week, and you can register for just one or all three of the sessions!

Did you know that over a third of wheelchair basketball athletes can walk? Come and join this fast-paced, competitive sport that offers an incredible upper body workout. Participants will be provided with basic instruction including chair skills, shooting techniques and on-court strategy. Sport chairs will be provided. All ages and abilities welcome.

PISE currently works with individuals who have conditions such as cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, autism, amputations, neuralgia, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, arthritis and post cancer treatment. PISE also works with organizations such as the Victoria Wheelchair Basketball Club and Recreation Integration Victoria to be able to offer discounts on certain programs or assistance if required.
